Job summary

Daimler Truck North America LLC seeks an Electric (High Voltage) Product Design Engineer II in Portland, OR. This hybrid role requires domestic and international travel up to 20%. You will support the eMobility group, developing HV PowerNet features and ensuring robust communication between ECUs in electrified powertrains.

Responsibilities include defining HV system requirements, performing safety analyses per ISO26262, and guiding software/architecture development for global HV solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering or computer science field.
• At least 2 years of related experience.
• Experience with vehicle networks (CAN) and ISO26262 requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support the Zero Transmission Group as HV Power & Safety Systems Controls engineer.
• Develop control strategies for HV systems and ensure ECU feature integration.
• Conduct functional safety analyses and support testing and sign-off.
• Collaborate on HV software and system validation for NAFTA regions.
