Astemo Ltd. in Farmington Hills, MI, seeks an experienced automotive software and control engineer to lead the construction, revision, and maintenance of test vehicles and to evaluate vehicle control systems.

The role covers designing architecture, implementing ECU algorithms, and validating sensor and motor integration. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop software-defined mobility solutions, create technical documentation, and support product development across customer

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related area required; Master's degree preferred.
Minimum 4 years related experience with Master's degree and 7+ years with Bachelor's degree.
Exposure to Automotive engineering and embedded systems.

Responsibilities

Develop test vehicle masterplans aligned with corporate objectives.
Design architecture and communication for test vehicles, and maintain vehicles; report findings.
Design, implement, and evaluate ECU/actuator algorithms; run experiments and analyze data.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop software-defined mobility solutions.
Create design specifications and technical documentation for engineering activities.
Travel domestically and internationally to customer locations for reviews, testing and updates.
