Job summary

Rivian is seeking a Staff Safety Integration Engineer in California to manage the technical project management process for vehicle safety, focusing on performance, budget, and timing. You will serve as the liaison between internal safety teams and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment with strategic vehicle program objectives and seamless integration of multiple safety load-cases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of automotive safety, vehicle testing, or system integration experience.
• Ability to travel to vehicle and component launch locations.
• Strong knowledge of FMVSS, ECE, NCAP and other automotive safety evaluation preferred.
• Proven project management experience with milestones, risks, and coordinating teams.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Synthesize complex test, simulation, and design data into actionable technical positions.
• Lead the systems integration of multiple safety load-cases across domains.
• Act as the technical point of contact for external TPMs and program management.
• Lead the analysis and presentation of vehicle-level safety performance data to senior stakeholders.
• Partner with engineers to define, track, and verify cascading safety integration requirements.
• Uncover and drive resolution for deep technical bottlenecks and risks.
