Rivian is seeking a Functional Safety Integration Engineer to coordinate safety-critical development across hardware, software, and systems for electric vehicles. Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD in Electrical, Embedded Systems or Software Engineering.
• Experience with Power Electronics, Embedded Systems, VLSI, Electrical design, and Controls.
• Knowledge and experience with FuSa engineering per ISO 26262.
• Knowledge of CAN, SPI, LIN, SENT, FlexRay communication protocols.
• Experience with requirements tools (JAMA, Doors) and issue tracking (JIRA, Bugzilla).
• Experience with C programming and/or model-based design using Simulink.

Aufgaben

• Ensure vehicle level safety goals, ASIL, HAZOP, and safety requirements are available to unblock analysis.
• Develop hardware/software safety plans with targets, deliverables, and risk communication.
• Bridge functional safety leads with system, software, hardware teams and external vendors.
• Plan, track, and document safety test cases and coordination with teams.
• Coordinate safety analyses (FMEA, FMEDA, DFMEA, FTA) and ensure milestones.
• Coordinate safety requirements and technical design discussions across teams.
• Maintain safety case, traceability matrices, and audit records.
• Develop FuSa workflows across work-products and cross-functional elements.
• Align FuSa workflows with product-level systems, hardware, and software safety.
• Plan V&V and integration-level safety test execution.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate engineering while ensuring consistency.
