Job summary

Rivian seeks a Functional Safety Integration Engineer to lead safety-critical development across hardware, software, and systems for electric vehicles. You will ensure compliance with safety standards (ISO 26262/IEC 61508) by aligning safety requirements with project execution and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities include establishing safety goals, managing safety analyses, documenting safety tests, and maintaining the safety case across programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, master's or PhD in Electrical, Embedded Systems or Software Engineering required.
• Experience with FuSa engineering and ISO 26262 standards.
• Knowledge of CAN, SPI, LIN, FlexRay; experience with requirements management and issue tracking tools.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate safety analyses (FMEA, FMEDA, FTA) and ensure timely delivery of safety requirements.
• Develop hardware/software safety plans, traceability andSafety case maintenance across projects.
• Act as bridge between functional safety leads, system, software and hardware teams and suppliers.
