Qualifications

• Four-year engineering degree (automotive related) or equivalent.
• 5+ years of automotive development or equivalent experience. Active or passive safety preferred.
• Competent in one or more automotive regulatory, compliance & certification domains; knowledge of two more domains.
• Computer literacy, particularly word-processing and spreadsheet ability; other Microsoft Office products; and Internet research.
• Proven research abilities and ability to apply related engineering principles to safety and advanced technology projects.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate information submission for safety compliance and ratings (NA market).
• Support development of safety regulatory forecasts.
• Research, benchmark safety performance and technology advancement strategies.
• Research, track and report on federal and state vehicle safety regulations.
• Interact with NHTSA, IIHS, MMC/MMNA and other safety organizations and manufacturers.
• Prepare and seek Manager approval for release of work products on light-duty vehicle safety matters.
