Job summary

Tensor is seeking a compliance and homologation lead to manage regulatory processes for US and international markets. You will coordinate with engineering, product development, legal, and QA to ensure all vehicles meet FMVSS, UNECE, and country-specific standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in automotive, mechanical, electrical engineering or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in vehicle homologation, regulatory affairs, or compliance.
  • Deep knowledge of FMVSS and UN/ECE standards.
  • Experience working with third-party labs and certification bodies in the US.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional coordination skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the homologation process for vehicles, ensuring compliance with safety, emissions, and environmental regulations.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, legal, and QA to meet regulatory standards.
  • Monitor changes in automotive legislation across US, EU, and other markets and advise teams.
  • Plan certification/test activities with labs and certification bodies.
  • Create and maintain compliance documentation and records.
  • Assist manufacturing with labeling and timely homologation updates.
  • Continuously improve processes to reduce lead times and costs while ensuring quality.
