Job summary

Rivian in California is seeking a Project Manager to translate program scope into executable plans, aligning parts, materials, procurement, timing, and cross‑functional coordination to move work with speed, quality, and clear ownership.

You will build and improve planning methods, identify risks, influence team execution, and define processes that support stronger build outcomes across VQAF, with strong Jira and data‑driven responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Typically 4+ years of related experience in Project Management.
• Strong working knowledge of show or event vehicles, prototype component or sub-system builds, specialty drive events and activations, specialty projects, specialty vehicle builds.

Responsibilities

• Lead build readiness across assigned VQAF projects, including parts status, shop space planning, timing, and readiness to begin work.
• Build and maintain executable plans that connect project scope to schedule, vehicle shipping, resource needs, procurement inputs, budget considerations, and build timing.
• Centralize documentation and cross communication for build activity with Procurement lead.
• Gain alignment and communicate for purchase and organization of parts and materials to support builds/events.
• Partner with project leads, shop managers, engineers, technicians, and logistics teams to align on deliverables and risks.
• Communicate direction, priorities, and status across stakeholders and advocate for the team when priorities change.
• Establish and maintain systems, routines, trackers, checklists, and tools to improve readiness and handoffs across VQAF builds.
• Organize and maintain tickets within the build process to keep projects on task.
• Coordinate travel for offsite events and projects, including team travel invites and meals.
• Support and produce specialty drive events, product launches, and specialty projects.
