Job summary

Rivian in Southern California seeks a Sr. Staff VLM to lead a vehicle zone, translating program goals into executable plans and coordinating engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing to hit milestones.

You will own the BOM, manage costs, and drive readiness from design through manufacturing while collaborating with the Chief Engineer and cross-functional teams to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in automotive program management or engineering leadership.
• Experience coordinating large cross-functional teams to launch vehicle programs.

Responsibilities

• Partnership with Chief Engineer to drive day-to-day zone execution and meet milestones.
• Own the BOM and lead cost-down initiatives to hit program targets.
• Coordinate with Global Supply Chain to align sourcing with technical needs and master schedule.
• Drive zone readiness through Virtual Releases, DM1-5, and Manufacturing Readiness.
• Oversee validation planning, budgeting, and asset tracking across the zone.
• Translate business objectives into tangible product goals and drive innovation.
