Job summary

Kenworth, part of PACCAR, seeks a Senior Vehicle Controls Engineer - Electrical to drive development of advanced vehicle controls across zero-emission and conventional powertrains. You will define system interactions, implement control software, and collaborate with customers and regulatory bodies.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in automotive controls, ISO26262 knowledge, and strong MATLAB/Simulink experience, with a path toward CDL and leadership in a fast-evolving trucking tech space.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; EIT preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant experience; heavy/medium-duty truck or passenger car exp desired.
• Knowledge of ISO26262 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop, and incorporate advanced vehicle technologies (Battery Electric Vehicle, Fuel Cell EV, ADAS, Connectivity) into PACCAR products.
• Elicit requirements from customers, sales teams, government regulations, and industry standards.
• Develop functional controls for advanced vehicle systems and software features including test requirements.
• Define interactions between vehicle systems.
