Job summary

Kenworth Truck Company is seeking energetic engineers to define and verify advanced vehicle controls for commercial vehicles. The Vehicle Integration Team handles integrated technology features and supports software development, verification, and validation.

The ideal candidate will have 1–3+ years in automotive controls, strong technical writing skills, and familiarity with ADAS, propulsion systems, and simulation tools. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
1-3+ years of relevant experience in automotive controls/vehicle technologies.
Knowledge of ISO26262 and ASPICE preferred.
Experience with MATLAB and CAD tools (Creo/ProE, SolidWorks, Catia) preferred.

Responsibilities

Identify, develop, and integrate advanced vehicle technologies (Battery Electric Vehicle, Fuel Cell EV, ADAS) into PACCAR products.
Elicit requirements from customers, sales teams, regulations, and industry standards.
Develop functional controls for advanced vehicle systems and software features, including test requirements.
Define interactions between vehicle systems and support software integration through SPICE-based processes.
Create work plans, scope, deliverables, and resource estimates; coordinate with global teams (up to 10% travel).
