Job summary

PACCAR's Kenworth Truck Company seeks a Vehicle Controls Engineer to join the Vehicle Integration Team in Kirkland, WA. You will identify, develop, and incorporate advanced vehicle technologies into PACCAR products, and help define system interactions across the vehicle software stack. The role requires a B.S.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering or related field required; EIT certification and MS preferred.
• 1-3+ years experience; heavy/medium-duty truck or passenger car experience desired.
• Knowledge of ISO26262 and ASPICE preferred.
• Experience with IBM DNG, IBM Rational Rhapsody, and IBM Rational Team Concert preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop, and incorporate advanced vehicle technologies into PACCAR products.
• Elicit requirements from customers, sales teams, government regulations, and industry standards to capture customer and business needs.
• Develop functional controls for advanced vehicle systems and software features including test requirements.
• Define interactions between vehicle systems.
• Support software integration through V-Model (SPICE) process for product development.
• Create work plans for upcoming programs by establishing scope, identifying deliverables, and estimating resources.
• Work with global teams to deliver common, cost-efficient solutions PACCAR-wide (Up to 10% travel may be required).
