Job summary

PACCAR is seeking energetic, independent engineers to define and verify advanced technology-based vehicle controls for Kenworth products. The Vehicle Integration Team handles vehicle software features and supports development, verification, and stakeholder alignment.

The ideal candidate will communicate effectively, have a passion for cutting-edge tech, and be willing to travel up to 10% while collaborating with global teams across PACCAR brands.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science; EIT certification and MS preferred.
• 1-3+ years of relevant experience is required; Heavy/medium-duty truck or passenger car experience is highly desired.
• Knowledge of ISO26262 and ASPICE is preferred.
• Experience with agile software development is a plus.
• Proficient in technical writing and reviewing engineering specifications.

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop, and incorporate advanced vehicle technologies (Battery Electric Vehicle, Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle, ADAS, Connectivity) into PACCAR products.
• Elicit requirements from customers, sales teams, government regulations, and industry standards to capture customer and business needs.
• Develop functional controls for advanced vehicle systems and software features including test requirements.
• Define interactions between vehicle systems.
• Support software integration through V-Model (SPICE) process for product development.
• Create work plans for upcoming programs by establishing scope, identifying deliverables, and estimating resources.
• Work with global teams to deliver common, cost-efficient solutions PACCAR-wide (Up to 10% travel may be required).
