Job summary

Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking a VDI Engineer to design, engineer, and integrate secure virtual desktop environments for DoD/IC networks, delivering scalable and secure solutions. The role requires TS/SCI clearance, 8+ years in DoD/IC VDI environments, and hands-on experience with Citrix, AVD, and VMware.

You will work with government stakeholders to ensure technical integrity and successful integration into DIA operations.

Qualifications

Active TS/SCI security clearance.
8+ years of DoD/IC VDI experience.
Strong knowledge of VDI architectures and SELC processes.
Experience developing virtual system architecture and test plans.
Experience with Citrix, AVD, VMware virtualization.
Experience supporting enterprise or classified VDI environments.
Willingness to support after-hours or on-call.

Responsibilities

Analyze user requirements, CONOPS, and high-level system architectures to develop VDI requirements specifications.
Lead design and development activities for VDI and virtualized environments.
Guide users in requirements formulation, feasibility studies, and alternative approaches.
Provide technical leadership for virtualization integration and enabling technologies.
Incorporate new virtual designs into existing environments and maintain architecture docs.
Develop SEMPs and System Integration/Test Plans for virtual environments.
Interface with government stakeholders regarding virtualization considerations, risks, and issues.
Ensure technical integrity of work products within the Virtual Systems scope.
Communicate status, risks, and recommendations to program personnel and executives.
Support troubleshooting and optimization of VDI performance, availability, and scalability.
Ensure compliance with DoD/IC security and operational requirements.
