Job summary

GRVTY seeks a VDI Engineer to design, implement, and maintain a large, globally accessed virtual desktop environment. You will serve as the SME for performance issues and collaborate across teams to ensure operational excellence.

Ideal candidates will have strong Citrix experience, a background in system design, and a proactive approach to automation and process improvement. TS/SCI clearance preferred for intelligence work in VA/MO sites.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship with TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain CI Polygraph.
• 5+ years of experience with a BS degree or equivalent education/experience.
• Experience designing and maintaining VDI in a large enterprise using Citrix technologies.

Responsibilities

• Architect and design VDI solutions and provide Tier 3/4 support.
• Guide desktop optimization for platform interoperability; liaison between VDI technologies.
• Provide endpoint support on VDI issues and resolution; maintain VDI tech knowledge.
• Ensure large, complex production environments run smoothly with multiple stakeholders.

Our work depends on a TS/SCI cleared VDI Engineer joining our team to support our intelligence customer in Springfield, VA or Arnold, MO.

Virtual Desktop Engineer to support the design, configuration, and maintenance of a large, globally accessed virtual desktop environment. This role will be the SME in troubleshooting all related performance issues across the organization. Additionally, the position will require an individual experienced in system design and integration, identity life‑cycle management, and process automation and improvement.

We are looking for an individual who has a proven track record designing and maintaining VDI in a large enterprise. The ideal candidate will be a motivated self‑starter with excellent written and verbal communication skills, who excels as an individual as well as among peers in a team environment. The individual should possess a passion for operational excellence and a high level of interpersonal and soft skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and design VDI solutions while providing TIER 3/4 support to system administrators to resolve VDI issues.
• Provide guidance on optimizing desktops for platform interoperability and act as liaison between VDI technologies.
• Offer endpoint support on issues and trouble‑resolution tasks related to VDI.
• Maintain advanced knowledge of administration, engineering, and implementation of VDI‑related technologies.
• Operate across multiple and complex production environments with multiple stakeholders.
• Apply extensive technical expertise with full knowledge of related disciplines.
• Conduct trade studies and make recommendations on solutions and “make‑buy” decisions.

Key Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship required with a TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain CI Polygraph.
• Experience providing engineering support for legacy and current versions of Citrix products.
• 5+ years of experience with a BS degree or a combination of years of experience and education.
• Progressive roles from Administrator to Sr. Engineer.
• Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops v7.15 and later.
• Citrix Provisioning Services (PVS) and Machine Creation Services (MCS).
• Citrix Cloud Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD).
• Liquidware Profile Unity.
• Hyper‑V, VMware VDI (Microsoft or Citrix NetScaler / ADCs).
• Familiar with HP AnyConnect and Leostream.

Nice to Have

• Experience managing and administering Windows Server clustering.
• Experience with infrastructure‑as‑code technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, etc.
• System Center Virtual Machine Manager / VMware vCenter 6.7.
• Home directory and profile management support services.
• Desktop software provisioning and support services.
