Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking a VDI/Citrix Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain advanced VDI environments across on‑premises and cloud. You will work with Citrix, AVD, and AWS Workspaces and integrate them into secure, scalable infrastructure.

The role requires 10+ years in IT, 4–5 years in VDI or systems engineering, and active Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret. Expect remote work with 25% travel and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• Experience: 10+ years in IT with 4–5 years in VDI or systems engineering.
• Clearance: Active Secret with ability to obtain Top Secret.
• Certifications: DoD 8570.01‑M IAT Level II (Security+).
• Skills: Citrix, AVD, AWS Workspaces; Windows/Linux admin; IAM; CloudFormation; Terraform; Ansible.

Responsibilities

• Design and define architecture for new and existing VDI environments.
• Deploy and enhance cloud VDI across AWS and Azure; integrate with existing infra.
• Install, configure, test, and maintain OS, tools, and software; IAM and integrations.
• Build gold images, packaging, and software offerings; automate operations.
• Provide documentation, briefings, and on‑call support as needed.
• Coordinate with remote teams and drive large‑scale cloud hosting projects.
