Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. seeks a seasoned VDI/Citrix Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain high‑performing virtual desktop environments across on‑premises and cloud platforms.

Responsibilities include architecting VDI solutions, deploying Citrix/AVD/AWS Workspaces, and automating infrastructure with IaC tools. Remote work with travel and a strong security posture are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• 10+ years of related experience in IT infrastructure and VDI.
• 4–5 years in VDI or systems engineering.

Responsibilities

• Define system architecture for new and existing VDI environments.
• Deploy and enhance cloud-based VDI solutions across AWS, Azure, and other providers.
• Install, configure, test, and maintain Windows/Linux servers and IAM solutions.
• Build, migrate, and test AWS and Azure environments using IaC tools.
• Provide documentation, briefings, and support reviews; occasional on-call support.
• Develop templates or scripts to automate developer and operations functions.
