Job summary

DBI Staffing in New York City seeks a Senior Virtual Desktop Engineer to lead design, deployment, and ongoing management of enterprise VDI across on-premises and cloud platforms. The role emphasizes CVAD-to-AVD migrations and end-user computing strategy.

You will collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, and Application teams, implement FSLogix and profile solutions, and drive automation with PowerShell to improve efficiency and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.
• Minimum of seven years designing, managing, and supporting large-scale enterprise VDI environments.
• Strong experience with CVAD on-premises architecture, administration, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop and Citrix DaaS including host pools and session hosts.
• Knowledge of profile management technologies such as FSLogix and Citrix User Profile Management.
• Experience with endpoint-security and application-control technologies.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior engineer within the VDI architecture team for performance, reliability, security, and continuous improvement.
• Provide full-time engineering and operational support for Citrix and AVD ticket queues and migrations.
• Manage tickets related to Citrix, Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows, and user profiles.
• Collaborate with internal teams to design and deliver scalable enterprise VDI solutions.
• Support migration from CVAD on-premises to AVD and Citrix DaaS with minimal disruption.
• Develop automation and scripting to improve operational efficiency and reporting.
