Job summary

Hensel Phelps is seeking a Lead VDC Engineer in Montgomery, AL to manage building information modeling for large commercial projects. You will work with on-site VDC/BIM engineers, operations and project managers to implement the VDC execution plan and ensure model quality.

The role requires collaboration across teams, development of VDC strategies, and support for 4D/5D/6D tools. This is a full-time, on-site position at one designated location with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• A 4‑year degree in civil or structural engineering, architecture, or construction management.

Responsibilities

• Support regional VDC training and development of project VDC execution plans.
• Management of information dissemination and issues resolution in the model.
• Quality assurance oversight on model reliability, structure and content.
• Assist in archiving of models from preconstruction through post construction.
• Assist VDC manager in project implementation of new software, processes and technology.
• Coordinate VDC schedules with project superintendent and ensure alignment with 3D models.
