Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) Engineer for its Advanced Manufacturing Group. This site-based role is open to candidates across the United States, especially those near a Jacobs office. The engineer will manage VDC/BIM activities, implement strategies, and lead teams in digital delivery to enhance project efficiencies.

The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of VDC/BIM experience and qualifications in architecture or engineering. Benefits include comprehensive health insurance, a 401(k) plan, and unlimited paid time off.

Qualifications

• At least 7 years of experience in VDC/BIM roles within the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of BIM technologies and their application in manufacturing environments.
• Experience with laser scanning and point cloud data management.

Responsibilities

• Provide VDC/BIM/Digital Delivery management and leadership.
• Lead the creation and implementation of BIM Execution Plans.
• Manage the Common Data Environment and oversee clash detection.
