Job summary

DAVIS in the Greater Philadelphia Area is seeking a Senior Virtual Construction Engineer to lead BIM/VDC workflows on complex projects, deliver coordination deliverables, and mentor junior staff.

You will manage federated models, perform clash detection, integrate shop drawings and RFIs, and drive schedule-aligned deliverables while pushing innovative workflows across the project teams. You will collaborate with Field Engineering and Reality Capture teams to meet tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in related field.
• Minimum of three years VDC experience.
• Advanced proficiency in BIM software (Navisworks, Revit, AutoCAD).
• Ability to manage federated models, clash detection, resolution.
• Deep understanding of point cloud processing for VDC.
• Strong independent troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Experience leading coordination on active construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead advanced BIM/VDC deliverables and coordination reports.
• Manage Virtual Construction project setup and federated models.
• Define coordination needs per BIM Execution Plan.
• Produce BIM/VDC deliverables: overlay studies, site plans, point clouds.
• Ensure QA/QC and alignment with project coordinates.
• Collaborate with Field Engineering and Reality Capture teams.
• Support cost management and drive tech adoption.
