Job summary

PGTEK is seeking a Senior Virtualization Engineer to design and upgrade a VMware Cloud Foundation 9.1 environment for a TS/SCI program. You will build in a lab, run upgrades, and coordinate with network, storage, and cybersecurity teams while defending control statements in an RMF-accredited setting.

You will report to a lead architect, own design artifacts, and drive runbooks, validation gates, and rollback procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or engineering.
• 4–7 years in enterprise virtualization or related field.
• Active TS/SCI clearance; U.S. citizenship; SCIF on-site work.

Responsibilities

• Design target environment and deployment artifacts for VMware Cloud Foundation 9.1.
• Lead upgrade across vCenter/ESXi/vSAN/NSX within RMF-accredited DoD enclaves.
• Coordinate with network, storage, and cybersecurity teams and stakeholders.
• Produce runbooks, validation gates, rollback criteria, and change plans.
• Migrate from Aria-era tooling to VCF Operations and Automation.
