Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an experienced senior virtualization engineer to deploy, configure, and maintain VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) 9 environments in a security-cleared capacity. You will administer vSphere, vSAN, NSX, and SDDC Manager, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure alignment with enterprise virtualization best practices.

The role requires hands-on VCF 9 expertise, strong troubleshooting skills, and certifications including CompTIA Security+ and VMware VCP, with VCP-VCF 9 administrator

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) 9.
• Strong technical experience with vSphere, vSAN, NSX, and SDDC Manager.
• Demonstrated ability to deploy and troubleshoot VCF 9 environments.
• Strong understanding of enterprise virtualization and software-defined data center technologies.
• Experience troubleshooting complex virtualization infrastructure issues.
• CompTIA Security+ certification required.
• VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certification required.
• VCP-VCF 9 Administrator certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and maintain VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) 9 environments.
• Administer and troubleshoot VMware vSphere, vSAN, NSX, and SDDC Manager.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across the VCF stack and identify root causes.
• Support implementation and configuration of virtualization infrastructure according to technical requirements and best practices.
• Monitor virtualized environment health and performance and proactively address issues.
• Perform system upgrades, configuration changes, and maintenance activities.
• Assist with integration and management of software-defined data center technologies.
• Document configurations, troubleshooting activities, and technical procedures.
• Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to resolve infrastructure issues and support mission requirements
