Job summary

PGTEK is seeking a Senior Virtualization Engineer to support a VMware Cloud Foundation 9 deployment at Hanscom AFB, Massachusetts. This role will focus on implementation, administration, upgrades, troubleshooting, and ongoing technical support across VCF environments.

The position is fully onsite at Hanscom AFB and requires an active Secret clearance and VCP certification. The ideal candidate has extensive VMware experience and can work effectively within a technical team.

Qualifications

Extensive hands-on knowledge and experience with VMware virtualization technologies.
Strong understanding of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF).
Experience implementing, administering, and supporting enterprise VMware environments.
Experience supporting VMware upgrades and lifecycle management.
Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work onsite at Hanscom AFB, MA.

Responsibilities

Support the implementation and deployment of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) 9 within NIPR ISN and SIPR ISN.
Translate enterprise architecture and technical designs into working VCF implementations.
Perform administration, configuration, and maintenance of VMware VCF environments.
Support VCF upgrades, enhancements, patches, and lifecycle activities.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving VMware virtualization and VCF technologies.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and administrators to implement and maintain the environment.
Document configurations and procedures; provide ongoing technical support.
