Job summary

Advocate Health's Vascular Laboratory in High Point seeks a certified vascular technologist to perform/interpret vascular ultrasound exams, verify orders, and document findings. You will ensure patient comfort and accurate reporting while adhering to lab protocols in a high-volume setting.

Ideal candidates hold RVT/RVS credentials or equivalent experience, complete BLS, and can obtain RVT/RVS within a year. The role includes a sign-on bonus and relocation support for qualified applicants.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CAAHEP vascular sonography program/or comparable experience with RVT or RVS credentials required.
• New graduates must obtain RVT or RVS credential within one year of hire.
• BLS certification required.
• Competencies in: ABI, Arterial Doppler (no intervention) Carotid (no intervention) Aortic ( no intervention) , Saphenous vein mapping, Exercise ABI, DVT Upper/ Lower extremity required.

Responsibilities

• Verifies physician's orders and reviews patient record prior to exam.
• Performs basic vascular ultrasound testing according to accredited vascular laboratory protocols, ensures patient comfort throughout exam.
• Recognizes and documents abnormal pathologies according to imaging protocol's as necessary to support diagnosis.
• Provides physician detailed preliminary report.
• Enters measurement data and final report into cardiovascular reporting system
• Ensures equipment is cleaned and functioning in accordance with manufactures guidelines.
• Enters charges into electronic medical record.
