Job summary

Advocate Health's Vascular Laboratory in Winston-Salem, NC seeks a certified vascular technologist to perform and document vascular ultrasounds and preliminary reports. You will verify orders, ensure patient comfort, and support diagnosis with accurate data entry into the cardiovascular reporting system.

Requirements include a CAAHEP vascular sonography credential (RVT/RVS), BLS, and a commitment to credentialing within one year if new grad.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CAAHEP vascular sonography program or comparable RVT/RVS credentials.
• New graduates must obtain RVT or RVS credential within one year of hire.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Verifies physician's orders and reviews patient record prior to exam.
• Performs basic vascular ultrasound testing per protocol and ensures patient comfort.
• Recognizes and documents abnormalities to support diagnosis.
• Provides physician detailed preliminary report.
• Enters measurement data and final report into the cardiovascular reporting system.
• Ensures equipment is cleaned and functioning per manufacturer guidelines.
• Enters charges into EMR.
