Job summary

Trinity Metro is seeking a Van Shop Specialist in Fort Worth, TX to ensure safe and efficient operation of fleet vehicles. You will perform advanced diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs across multiple vehicle systems, working with a shop supervisor and training staff to uphold high standards.

The role requires strong mechanical aptitude and leadership, with experience in automotive diagnostics. This is a full-time, on-site position supporting fleet readiness and quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Four years of experience in the automotive industry.
• Two years of transit specific experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics, preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on gasoline, diesel, electric, and alternative-fuel vehicles and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, HVAC, suspension, brake, steering, drivetrain, and computerized systems.
• Assist junior technicians in diagnosing and completing difficult or specialized repairs.
• Inspect vehicles and equipment to determine needed repairs, safety concerns, and maintenance needs.
• Complete repairs in a timely, accurate and safe manner to support fleet availability.
• Use diagnostic software, scan tools, and wiring diagrams to identify issues and resolve vehicle problems.
• Perform road calls, vehicle recovery support or field repairs, as needed.
