Job summary

Peak Utility Infrastructure in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a dependable Mechanic to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair fleet vehicles, trailers and construction equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance, address electrical issues, document repairs in the fleet system, and coordinate with the Shop Foreman to prioritize work while maintaining DOT compliance.

Candidates must have 2 years of diesel/gas engine experience and own tools; valid driver’s license required within two weeks; ability

Qualifications

Two years of experience in fleet and construction equipment diagnosis, troubleshooting and repair of gasoline and diesel engines.
Experienced with electrical, hydraulic and suspension systems.
Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Residence Driver’s License within two weeks of employment.

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic, troubleshooting and repair tasks on vehicles, equipment and trailers
Completion of preventative maintenance tasks including oil changes, brake jobs, etc.
Troubleshooting and repair of electrical issues especially wiring harnesses and lighting
Coordinating with the Shop Foreman to prioritize and expedite repairs
Document repair and maintenance work on vehicles, trailers and equipment in accordance with company processes
Ensure DOT compliance on all fleet items
Entering data into fleet computer system for tracking and vehicle profiles
Operate all company vehicles and equipment in a safe manner
Communicate effectively and professionally with all company and vendor personnel
Maintain general shop safety and cleanliness standards
