Job summary

Dean Dorton is seeking a Business Valuation Senior Consultant to lead defined workstreams within valuation engagements and support Managers and Directors with engagement execution and client delivery.

The role blends advanced valuation expertise with day-to-day project coordination, client communication, and coaching of Associates, developing and reviewing valuation models and preparing reports for client review.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field required.
• CPA, CVA, ASA, or ABV designation strongly preferred.
• Minimum of four (4) to six (6) years of experience in business valuation or financial consulting, including supervisory experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with advanced Excel and financial modeling proficiency.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience drafting valuation reports.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead defined workstreams and significant portions of valuation engagements under direction of Managers and Directors.
• Develop and refine valuation models using income, market, and asset-based approaches.
• Prepare clear valuation reports, schedules, exhibits, and presentations for review by engagement leadership.
• Coordinate document requests and analyze financial statements, tax returns, forecasts, contracts, and operational data.
• Identify potential technical, data, or engagement risks and escalate as needed.
• Mentor Associates and ensure quality-control of engagement deliverables.
