Job summary

ManpowerGroup in San Jose, CA is seeking a Validation Engineer 3 to join the Production Test Engineering team. You will own test development end-to-end for SoC SerDes with copackaged optics, leveraging Python automation to improve yield and throughput.

The role requires hands-on ATE program development, strong SerDes/PHY fundamentals, and the ability to translate characterization results into robust multisite production coverage. Collaboration across silicon/firmware/DFT/OSAT teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with leading ATE platforms.
• Strong SerDes/PHY fundamentals including PCIe/UCIe.
• Proficiency in Python for automation and data analytics.
• Solid DFT background: scan/ATPG, boundary scan, MBIST/LBIST, JTAG.
• Working knowledge of production test flows across silicon/firmware/DFT/OSAT teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate, and maintain wafer sort and final test programs on ATE for SoC SerDes with copackaged optics (CPO).
• Define and implement production test coverage for SerDes PHY and protocol features (PRBS, loopback, margining, FEC, CDR, EQ).
• Optimize multisite strategies to reduce test time while maintaining quality and coverage goals.
• Correlate bench/characterization results to ATE with golden-unit flows and establish limits.
• Integrate DFT features into production flows, managing pattern conversion, timing sets, and pin maps.
