Job summary

LG Display America is seeking a senior validation engineer for Automotive product testing and compliance activities. The role focuses on defining test strategies, root-cause analysis, scripting, and creating validation reports for customers and internal teams.

You will work with cross-functional engineering groups, maintain test benches, and communicate with customers to ensure smooth project execution, including business trips to sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, or equivalent experience (5 additional years of relevant technical experience in degree).
• 10+ years of experience in Automotive industry with at least 5+ years of validation engineer test experience in Quality, Engineering, or Manufacturing
• Prior experience in an OEM or Tier 1 Automotive environment is a plus

Responsibilities

• Define test strategy based on requirements and specifications regarding Automotive product.
• Identify failures, root cause issues and recommend fixes.
• Create scripts/tools to improve testing efficiency.
• Write validation reports, test procedures, and compliance documents (Ensuring all equipment, systems, and processes adhere to Automotive standards).
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers based on a solid understanding of vehicle simulation bench architecture and test environments.
• Maintenance and management of test bench equipment.
• Assist customers in resolving technical and operational issues, ensuring smooth project execution.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and implement effective solutions.
• Conduct business trips to manufacturing sites or HQ to support customer visits and project reviews.
