Job summary

LG Electronics is seeking a Validation Engineer (CONTRACTOR) to validate telematics products using test benches and vehicles, executing sanity checks and field tests with OEMs. You will analyze results, create test cases, and report defects, while coordinating with R&D teams across North America and Korea.

Domestic travel is expected. The role emphasizes learning, attention to detail, and strong communication in a fast-paced automotive tech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Ability to travel domestically for assignments.

Responsibilities

• Perform validation for telematics products using test benches and vehicles.
• Execute sanity checks, customer-found issues, and updated specs.
• Analyze test results to confirm product meets specifications.
• Create and maintain test cases per product specs.
• Utilize tracking system to report and track defects.
• Set up test benches and perform SW updates.
• Conduct field tests and joint field tests with OEMs.
• Provide OEM support including flashing modules and environment config.
• Maintain relationships with overseas counterparts to share info.
• Support and communicate with R&D across regions including Korea.
