Job summary

Kurt J. Lesker Company is seeking a Technical Sales Manager for Vacuum Pumps to lead commercial strategies and drive profitable growth across North America.

You will develop key customer relationships, support pricing and market strategy, and travel to engage customers and partners. In this role, you will work with the sales team to expand market share, provide product training, and help launch campaigns while leveraging your vacuum science knowledge and CRM/ERP tools to manage forecasts and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business-related field or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of technical sales, applications engineering, product management, or business development experience
• Strong understanding of vacuum science and rough vacuum technologies
• Proven ability to develop and close complex technical sales opportunities
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
• Experience with CRM, ERP, and Microsoft Office tools
• Ability to travel throughout North America approximately 50–60%
• Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Drive growth of the North American vacuum pump business
• Develop new business and expand key customer and OEM relationships
• Partner with the direct sales team to achieve sales targets and grow market share
• Build relationships with strategic suppliers and channel partners
• Support pricing, forecasting, business planning, and market strategy
• Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity
• Provide product and sales training to customers and sales teams
• Support marketing campaigns, product launches, and industry events
• Maintain accurate CRM pipeline and sales reporting
• Travel throughout North America to support customers and growth initiatives
