Everlaw seeks a Senior Manager, User Experience Research to lead our research function as a strategic partner-coach, uncover foundational insights, and shape the future of our AI-powered litigation platform. You will guide cross-functional teams, lead strategic studies, and democratize research through AI-enabled tools while developing researchers to their best work.

This full-time, exempt role is based in our Oakland, CA office with hybrid schedule: in office M/W/Th, with option to work from

Qualifications

8+ years of user research experience and a track record shaping product strategy for complex B2B SaaS or data-heavy products.
Experience elevating research practice and mentoring researchers, including leadership or management of team members.
Expertise in mixed-methods research (qualitative + quantitative + product analytics).
Strong synthesis and storytelling to influence executive decisions.
Ability to translate business problems into structured research plans and align cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities

Set the user research strategy and quarterly roadmap, aligning with business and product priorities.
Synthesize findings into durable artifacts and narratives that influence product decisions.
Lead strategic, ambiguous projects on how legal professionals evaluate and trust AI workflows.
Manage a small, high-performing research team with clear roles and accountability.
Apply rigorous research methods and help teams choose the right methods for decisions.
Partner with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Data Science to incorporate customer evidence into decisions.
Build self-service frameworks and AI-enabled tools to scale impact while preserving rigor.
