Job summary

Expeditors seeks a Senior Manager, User Experience Design to lead its centralized UX organization in the Seattle area. You will manage six to eight designers embedded with product teams, elevating quality, accessibility, and AI-enabled practices across products.

You will own people, capacity, and craft, guiding hiring, onboarding, and career development while partnering with Technical Product Managers, Engineering, and business stakeholders to deliver high-value experiences.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, CS, Information Systems, Eng, or related field.
Experience leading or managing a team of designers with coaching and growth.
Deep UX craft across research, interaction design, IA, visual/UI, accessibility, and design systems.
Ability to manage capacity, allocation, or resourcing across multiple teams.
Experience applying AI to design work with responsible governance.
Fluency with modern tooling: Figma, Azure DevOps/Boards, GUIDE/Storybook, Microsoft 365.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and grow the UX design team, including hiring and day-to-day management.
Own capacity planning and allocation across product teams.
Co-own problem framing and success criteria with Product and Engineering.
Set and raise the bar for design quality, consistency, and accessibility across products.
Define how Expeditors designs with AI and establish guardrails for its use.
