Job summary

Baxter International Inc. is seeking a UX Designer to join the User Experience design team, supporting global development and advanced technology projects.

You’ll work closely with clinicians and patients, shaping visual and interaction design, plus usability studies, information architecture, and design documentation. You will lead design activities, collaborate across locations, and contribute to design decisions that improve patient and clinician experiences.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of UX design related work experience.
• Experience with medical device or other regulated fields preferred.
• Ability to travel to Baxter and/or customer sites and meet hospital credentialing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Create user friendly interface designs, adhering to established UI design standards and practices.
• Participate in customer interviews, interactions, and other user research to identify customer needs and wants.
• Create UI prototypes, which may be used for testing or marketing purposes.
• Participate in usability research, including creating test plans and scripts, moderating usability test sessions, and writing final reports.
• Document user experience designs and specifications.
• Provide UX and design input to cross functional teams, including recommendations for product and process improvements based on UX expertise and knowledge.
• Act independently with minimal supervision and apply project team engineering methodologies to manage work across teams.
• Communicate design intent through storyboards, user-stories, workflows, wireframes and visual designs from low fidelity prototypes through final assets.
