Job summary

Macy’s is seeking a Senior User Experience Designer to shape end-to-end experiences across Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s brands, stores, and enterprise apps. You’ll apply systems thinking, service design, and information architecture to unify touchpoints and drive measurable impact.

You’ll collaborate with product, technology, and business leaders, mentor teammates, and ensure alignment with Macy’s strategic goals in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in digital design, UX, or service design.
• Portfolio demonstrating systems thinking, service design, and end-to-end journey design.
• Experience grounding designs with field discovery in stores and phygital contexts.

Responsibilities

• Design connected journeys across digital, in-store, and colleague tools.
• Map and orchestrate customer and colleague journeys from frontstage to backstage.
• Conduct store field discovery and phygital journey mapping.
• Apply information architecture to organize enterprise platforms and content.
• Collaborate with Leads, Product Managers, Engineers, Researchers, and Store Operators.
• Design from big-picture concepts to detailed wireframes and high-fidelity comps.
• Ensure enterprise consistency across e-commerce, apps, and store systems.
• Mentor and elevate team members; share design craft and governance.
• Validate decisions using qualitative and quantitative data and KPIs.
• Champion inclusivity and authentic collaboration across teams.
