Job summary

The Aspen Group (TAG) is seeking a Senior UX Designer to lead and drive intuitive user experiences across our product portfolio. You will mentor juniors, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, and shape our UX strategy from research to final design.

Based in Chicago, IL, you will own design systems, token architectures, and high‑fidelity visuals while ensuring alignment with business goals and engineering feasibility.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of UX design experience with a strong portfolio.
• Proficiency in Figma and modern UX practices.
• Experience leading UX projects and cross‑functional collaboration.
• Strong analytical and data‑driven design instincts.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills.
• Experience with usability testing and A/B testing.
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS is a plus.
• Experience building/designing a design system and token architecture.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end‑to‑end UX design process for web and mobile products.
• Conduct and synthesize user research to inform design decisions.
• Develop personas, journeys, wireframes, prototypes, and high‑fidelity designs.
• Collaborate with product, engineering and stakeholders for feasibility and goals.
• Conduct usability testing and data‑driven design improvements.
• Mentor junior designers and promote design best practices.
• Advocate for user‑centered design and improve processes.
• Maintain a scalable design system with token architecture and component library.
• Create visually strong designs with typography, color, and layout.
