Job summary

Pearson Virtual Learning is seeking a Senior UX Designer to lead the design of AI-powered learning experiences for K–12 platforms. You will guide research, prototyping, and validation across web and mobile, partnering with product, engineering, and analytics to ensure accessible, trustworthy AI interfaces for students and educators.

The role is primarily remote with occasional in-person collaboration. You will influence product strategy, contribute to the design system, and mentor teammates

Qualifications

• 7+ years of UX design experience with shipped products and measurable impact.
• Experience with usability tests and mixed‑methods research activities and translating findings into design decisions.
• Experience designing AI-powered product features (conversational interfaces, adaptive systems, generative content surfaces, or ML-driven recommendations).
• Portfolio is important; diverse educational backgrounds welcomed, including bootcamp graduates or self-taught designers.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end product design from user flows to high‑fidelity designs and handoff.
• Design AI-powered experiences including conversational interfaces and adaptive learning flows.
• Design for all states and edge cases; ensure accessible, inclusive experiences.
• Deliver responsive designs across web and mobile; maintain strong design system patterns.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Data Analytics to influence direction and communicate findings.
