Job summary

Rotary Club of Monroe, Louisiana seeks a UX Design Lead to shape experiences across Rotary’s product suite. You will be deeply user‑focused, guiding usability, accessibility, and visual aesthetics with an entrepreneurial mindset and proactive problem‑solving.

You will elevate visual design and collaborate across cross‑functional teams to bring strategic vision to life. You will manage end‑to‑end design from research through final execution, design for global audiences, and advocate accessibility

Qualifications

• 6–8+ years of professional experience in visual or product design for consumer or SaaS apps with portfolio demonstrating end‑to‑end design process.
• Degree in Communication/Graphic/Visual/Interaction Design or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Expertise in color theory, typography, layout, iconography, and motion design.
• Experience conducting and synthesizing user research, and validating decisions with usability testing.
• Advanced fluency in design tools (Figma) and prototyping tools for high‑fidelity motion.
• Experience designing and scaling a visual design system with token structures and component libraries.
• Experience designing UI at a global scale with accessibility and localization considerations.
• Working knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript to communicate with engineers.

Responsibilities

• Mature Rotary's visual design system: token architecture and reusable component library for web and mobile.
• Champion a high aesthetic bar across the design org and mentor others on visual craft.
• Stay current on design trends and explore AI-assisted design for rapid iteration.
• Balance Rotary's brand identity with scalable, accessible product UI.
• Lead end‑to‑end design work from research to high‑fidelity execution.
• Conduct usability and A/B testing to validate solutions and refine visuals.
