Job summary

R-2 Contractors, Inc. seeks a Utility-Scale Power & Renewables Project Manager to own commercial, contractual, financial, and administrative success from turnover through closeout on utility-scale projects.

The role partners with Field Operations to mitigate risks, protect profitability, and foster strong customer relationships across sites in Gilbert, AZ, Prineville, OR, and on project sites nationwide. Travel up to 20% is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience managing utility-scale heavy civil, solar, BESS, substation, or underground projects.
• Strong knowledge of contracts, estimating handoffs, budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, and change management.
• Ability to read plans, specifications, scope letters, and pricing schedules and translate to execution requirements.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, organizational and leadership skills; willingness to travel nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Lead assigned projects from estimating turnover through execution, customer acceptance, and final closeout.
• Serve as the primary commercial and contractual point of contact for customers, general contractors, and project stakeholders.
• Establish project priorities, responsibilities, deadlines, and clear communication between departments.
• Own commitments, solve problems proactively, and address material risks with recommended solutions.
• Maintain accurate monthly forecasts, review costs, margins, and cost-to-complete; manage invoicing and cash flow.
