Job summary

Delta Electronics Americas seeks a Senior Technical Product Manager for Utility Microgrid Solutions to define the roadmap, requirements, business cases, and partner strategy for grid-connected microgrid offerings.

The role focuses on GW-scale utility microgrid opportunities, translating customer needs into repeatable, profitable product offerings and clarifying what Delta should own versus partner-deliver. Strong utility-facing product management experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Energy Systems, or related technical field.
• 8+ years of experience in utility, grid modernization, DER, microgrids, or power systems.
• Experience working with utilities, IPPs, EPCs, developers, OEMs, or grid technology partners.

Responsibilities

• Define product strategy, roadmap, and business cases for utility-scale microgrid solutions, including >100 MW partner-led architectures.
• Translate utility, IPP, developer, and grid-edge customer needs into clear product requirements and cost targets.
• Define Delta’s role in utility microgrid solutions, including internal ownership vs. partner-delivered work.
• Establish requirements for utility-scale architectures (HV/MV systems, BESS, PCS, controls, protection, interconnection, EMS/SCADA).
• Benchmark competitors, partner ecosystems, utility procurement models, and new grid-scale business models.
• Collaborate with internal engineering teams and external partners.
• Challenge engineering teams to deliver differentiated, scalable products and solutions.
• Support product launch, portfolio reviews, partner strategy, and customer-facing technical positioning.
