Job summary

OpenGov, Inc. is seeking a Senior Implementation Consultant, Utility Billing in Chicago to drive value and deliver a complete implementation by applying deep product knowledge and technical expertise.

You will set the foundation of the OpenGov platform while maximizing customer ROI and advocating for OpenGov solutions. You will lead end-to-end ERP-enabled implementations for municipal utility billing with cross-functional teams, train customers, and help tailor workflows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software implementation consulting with ERP implementations.
• Advanced knowledge of analyzing and reporting large volumes of financial data and understanding data architecture.
• Experience training customers on software solutions to address key workflows.
• Advanced Excel skills (functions, pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
• Strong skills in conceptualization, modeling, and design to develop efficient solutions.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor teams and collaborate cross-functionally.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with customers and internal teams.
• Strong problem-solving abilities to evaluate factors and craft effective solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage end-to-end implementation projects for new and expanding customers, including data gathering and configuration.
• Serve as primary technical and strategic advisor to customers to ensure smooth deployment.
• Analyze customer requirements and collaborate with cross-functional teams to tailor solutions.
• Develop deep expertise in governmental processes across multiple states to meet diverse needs.
• Collaborate with engagement and adoption teams to deliver a consistent customer experience and training programs.
• Establish best practices for data environments and customer verticals to improve efficiency and scale.
• Gather and communicate customer feedback and feature requests to inform product roadmap.
• Work with R&D and Sales to drive delivery efficiencies and inform product roadmaps.
• Mentor and train team members to foster growth and share best practices.
• Take ownership of strategic initiatives and contribute to tactical targets.
