Job summary

Itron, Inc. is seeking a Solution Consultant to partner with Account Executives, lead discovery engagements, and translate customer needs into tailored demonstrations that address utilities and energy challenges.

You will own the solution definitions, contribute to RFX responses, design POCs, deliver engaging demos, and stay current on gas and electric utility market trends to enable scalable deployments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a Solution Consultant, Sales Engineer, or Sales Consultant in enterprise SaaS.
• Experience leading discovery, configuration, and tailored demonstrations.
• Ability to explain complex concepts clearly to customers.
• Proven cross-functional collaboration in fast-paced, agile environments.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery engagements with structured plans and documentation.
• Define solutions translating discovery into product capabilities and deployment strategies.
• Contribute to RFX responses with tailored descriptions and technical overviews.
• Design and lead POCs and trial programs with clear objectives and value.
• Deliver tailored demonstrations throughout the sales cycle and capture feedback.
• Stay current on utility market trends and product messaging.
• Configure software to address customer challenges using best practices.
