Job summary
The Sarasota County Public Utilities Department is looking for a visionary utility planning and engineering leader. This management-level role involves directing the Utility Planning Team within the Utility Engineering Division, focusing on water, wastewater, and reclaimed water systems.
You will develop master plans, manage reviews for development projects, and collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure sustainable growth and reliable utility services. A Bachelor's degree and Florida licensing are required, with a starting pay range of $77,105.60 – $110,000.00 annually based on experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree in Civil Engineering with relevant experience.
- Registered Professional Engineer licensed in Florida required.
- Eight years of experience in utility engineering preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of utility master plans.
- Manage utility planning reviews for development projects.
- Supervise and mentor planning staff.
