Job summary

Collier County seeks an experienced leader to manage operations of the Public Utilities and Engineering Division and support the Division Director in achieving goals. The role oversees project design, management, plan review, and related business units.

The position requires a Florida-registered Professional Engineer and eight years of related experience, with a valid Florida driver's license; salary offers above minimum may be considered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
• Eight years of related experience.
• Must possess and maintain a valid State of Florida Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver's License with any applicable endorsement(s) to drive a County vehicle

Responsibilities

• Directs day-to-day division engineering and project management activities for construction, repair, and major maintenance projects.
• Assists in policy development and oversight of capital improvement program planning, design, and construction.
• Prepares plans, reports, and technical documents; coordinates with consultants and staff.
• Ensures compliance with codes, laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies and procedures; monitors safety procedures.
