Job summary

CJ Schwan's in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking a Senior Utilities Planner to lead maintenance planning and scheduling for our new 360,000-square-foot facility. You will help reduce downtime by improving preventive maintenance, coordinating with Operations, Engineering and Reliability teams, and ensuring work is completed safely and on time.

Ideal candidates have an associate degree, at least two years in refrigeration/boiler maintenance or utilities planning, and experience with CMMS/SAP.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years in refrigeration/boiler maintenance or utilities planning.
• Experience with utilities planning in industrial or food manufacturing.
• Strong collaborative and cross-functional communication skills.
• Commitment to safety, food safety standards, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize, and evaluate maintenance work orders to align with production schedules.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and other departments.
• Review technical documentation to scope maintenance work.
• Prepare parts, tools, and job kits to support efficient maintenance.
• Estimate labor hours and materials; manage resources and cost records in CMMS.
• Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs and safety inspections.
