Job summary

CJ Schwan's is hiring a Labor Scheduler in Sioux Falls, SD. The role ensures optimal staffing, coordinates across plant departments, and maintains accurate workforce data to support production needs.

You will partner with Production Scheduling and HR to align labor plans with demand, manage schedules, and monitor attendance. A strong background in workforce management and data analysis is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in labor scheduling or workforce planning.
• Experience with workforce management systems; Kronos knowledge preferred.
• Strong data entry and database management skills.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate labor resources across plant departments.
• Develop and adjust employee schedules based on operational needs.
• Monitor scheduling exceptions and staffing disruptions.
• Communicate staffing needs and schedule changes to teams.
• Align labor requirements with production plans with Production Scheduling.
• Lead weekly labor scheduling meetings with supervisors and leaders.
• Identify training needs impacting scheduling effectiveness.
• Maintain Kronos and other workforce data accurately.
• Collaborate with HR and staffing agencies to keep records current.
• Track vacation, attendance, and call-in data; report trends.
