City of North Miami Beach seeks a highly responsible professional to supervise and manage the financial activities of NMB Water, including accounts payable, payroll accounting, bank reconciliation and fixed assets accounting. The role requires strong GAAP knowledge, internal controls, and the ability to coordinate external audits.

The incumbent supervises staff through subordinates, analyzes financial statements, contributes to budget processes and ensures compliance with GASB and FASB standards

Qualificações

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related field.
• Minimum of eight years of progressively responsible experience in governmental or public accounting with supervisory experience.
• Desirable Master’s degree and expertise in capital improvement project controls.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate production of monthly financial statements and review for GASB/FASB compliance.
• Plan, direct and review the work of subordinates.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and internal controls across disbursements, AP/AR, and fixed assets.
• Coordinate annual audits and assist auditors with findings.
