Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Experience with payroll accounting and accounts receivable preferred.
• Proficient with Excel and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Support the monthly close process, including preparation and posting of journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts, researching and resolving discrepancies as needed.
• Manage daily cash activity, including bank reconciliations, cash receipts, and related general ledger transactions.
• Coordinate payroll processing for hourly and salaried employees and ensure payroll activity is accurately reflected in the general ledger.
• Prepare customer billing and maintain accurate accounts receivable records.
• Review outstanding receivables and follow up on past-due balances or account discrepancies.
• Reconcile revenue and cost-related activity to the general ledger and assist with forecasting and financial analysis.
• Maintain accounting records related to capital projects and assist with capitalization and project closeout.
• Assist with external financial and banking audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and other requested information.
• Prepare recurring compliance filings, including sales tax, property tax, and annual 1099 reporting.
• Assist with additional accounting projects and process improvements as needed.
